Kickin' for Kids provides new shoes to children in the Tampa Bay area.  
Since inception, Kickin' for Kids has donated over 3,000 new shoes through the fundraising efforts of 
The Krewe of Alegria.

The Krewe of Alegria Recruitment Event

The Krewe of Alegria is celebrating it's 30th anniversary and this year is going to be our most extraordinary ever! 

The Krewe of Alegria is about having fun, making friends, and giving back to community through our charity Kickin' for Kids.  Kickin' for Kids provides new shoes to children in the Tampa Bay Area.

With that in mind, we are looking to grow our krewe with professional ladies from the Tampa Bay Area who want to give back to community and have fun while doing it! 

We celebrate through out the year by participating in the parades, and having several socials and fundraisers.  

The New Member Social is Thursday June 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Grille 116, 612 N Dale Mabry Hwy Tampa, FL 33609.

The Krewe of Alegria Spring Fling Bunny Hop - April 11

Easter might be over, but the bunnies are coming out to play! The Krewe of Alegria is celebrating Spring with our 3rd Annual Bunny Hop. 

The Bunny Hop begins at Cristino’s Coal Fire Pizza 1701 E. 8th Ave in Ybor City at 7:30 p.m. $20.00 per person for drink specials at all the hops, and food discounts at Cristino’s. 

Prizes will be awarded for Best Couple or Group Costume, Sexiest Bunny, Most Original Bunny Best Not-Bunny, and Best Male Bunny. Proceeds Benefit Alegria's Kickin' for Kids

Tampa Nights - Latin Style

Step into 1950's Havanna with The Krewe of Alegria. We promise a magical night of live music and Salsa dancing,. Try your luck at the gambling tables where you can use you winnings to bid on Chinese auction items. Sample delectable Spanish-style appetizers, and enjoy a hand-rolled cigar on the patio. Full liquor bar.

Krewe of Alegria Garage Sale

The members of the Krewe of Alegria go together to raise money to help another member in her recovery from cancer.  Many members chipped in and donated items and their time.  Over $400 was raised.  There are still some items and collectibles for sale.  If you are interested, you can reply to this post.

Helping our Treasured Member

The Krewe of Alegria's central mission is to be "Goodwill Ambassadors to the Tampa Bay Community" by giving back to the community that we live in and love.  

When one of our treasured members, Jeanne, was faced with the heartbreaking diagnosis of cancer, we all knew we had to mobilize a campaign to help her and her family.  

Jeanne is an officer with the Krewe of Alegria.  As the driving force behind our 501(c)3 charitable organization, Kickin' for Kids, she has been responsible for donating thousands of shoes to children in the Tampa Bay Area.  

With this vision in mind, one of our members, Michelle Vrooman-South, created the medical fundraiser website to allow people from all over the world to donate money to help our member cover medical and living expenses while she is undergoing treatment.
